I always hate arguing about something I'm not sure on... but since when is the crankshaft in the head or accessable from there? The module can be (and usually is on most engines) seperate from the sensor.

No one said the CPS was in the head. It is on the back of the block.

I am arguing with Airjer_ about the placement of the ignition control module. He seemed to think the ignition control module on a 98 was located there. In which is it not.

Did i clear up any confusion?

Yup that was my bad! I was thinking that they didn't switch until later (for some reason I was thinking it was 2000? Hey, I'm blonde I can get away with that!!)

The crank sensor is still in the same place, ibn the back of the block. GM just changed the location of the module and coil packs.
