Do these two words have anything in common????
and how do you think they contrast (differ)????
It's be interesting to hear your thoughts :)

I tend to cite the differences between the two as a challenge is
-Often comes from within, or something you push yourself to do or be good at
-Something you accept and step up/out of your comfort zone to do
-Something generally seen as self-improvement by wider society
while pressure
-Usually (but not always) comes from external sources
-Often unwanted, even if you do 'well under pressure'
-Causes stress/health problems if applied for an excess of time/intensity
That said, and I may add more later, one often leads to the other. They are fairly closely related things. A challenge is usually a positive thing, while pressure is quite often a negative thing.
JMHO.

YES YES YES!!! This is what's going on now.
With a challenge comes pressure. But pressure isn't technically always there because of a challenge. Pressure is some kind of inner or outer force that'll show up whenever. You may think you are totally ready for something and there's no pressure what so ever but then it comes. There may be no challenge as to what you're doing but there is pressure.
A challenge on the other hand is always accompanied by pressure. Challenges are something you put yourself up to and it also depends on how you look at it. I don't have much challenges in my life mainly because I have a high level of passivness and I always get what I want to do accomplished in some amount of time. I mean, I have challenges, I just don't let them affect me so much. This helps a lot and reduces the pressure.
But, I still do have pressure. As certain timelines draw to an end or whether I should do something, so minor in my case, pressure builds and it doesn't need to. It just builds and bugs me to a point I just fall silent, but that's just me.
I will agree that challenges are normally good and pressure is normally bad but I like pressure. I like it when it comes spontaneously to help push me when I really need it as oppose to every challenge I put myself up to I let pressure control me. That's my outlook. If more posts are made, I'll elaborate later.
