O5 model....not my car...belongs to the car lot I work at...door locks will not work...push the buttons..nothing happens..
battery keeps draining down...
when I had the car to check for bad fuses and such we were standing there and without either of us touching it...the locks started going up and down all by themselves...we werent touching it.....the remote has never worked and it was in the center console..
this car is a pos...what should I start with first.?

I would start by looking at the relay. Dirty contacts on relays have caused my Grand Am to do some pretty weird things on its own. I would pull the relay and clean the contacts. If that doesn't work you might even try replacing it.

you can also check this,Power Door Locks Cycling Or Inoperative From The Switches
Models:2005-2008 Chevrolet Cobalt
2005-2006 Pontiac Pursuit
2007-2008 Pontiac G5
It has been reported that an issue exists that will cause the door locks to cycle when driving and/or become inoperative from the door lock switches. When the condition is present the door locks are inoperative from the switches, however they work normally with the key fobs. (If equipped with Remote keyless Entry)
It is recommended that you connect the Tech-2 to the vehicle and look at the door lock switch status (RFA data-list) it should be reading "Idle". If it reads lock or unlock then check for a possible sticking door lock switch and replace as necessary. also check the master power window switch for corrosion at the connector, seen some with this problem.
