Oil Filter

I have 2004 Mercedes-Benz C240 6 Cyl. 4-matic, is the oil filter a spin-on or a filter kit? How many qts. of oil and what weight?

The oil filter is a cartridge style located at the top left just above the power steering reservoir. The engine will take @7.5-8 litres of 5w30 full synthetic ( Benz recommends Mobil 1 ).

5w30 is incorrect. 5w30 is not Mercedes MB 229.5 approved.

Yes you need 229.5 oil. look at the back of the bottle and it will say MB approved 229.5. If it does not--- don't use it.
