I Have A 2001 Olds Alero I Replaced The Fuel pump The Car RAN FOR A FEW DAYS THEN IT STOPPED . IT STARTS IF YOU SPRAY FUEL IN THROTTLE BODY

Can you hear the new fuel pump run when you turn the key to the ON position (not start)?
You could have been given a bad pump, it's happened before.
The pump wiring could have a short or bad connection, that's not uncommon either.
The fuel filter may be plugged, unless you changed it at the same time you changed the pump.

I'd put the old fuel pump back in.
