99 mercury cougar won't start but

Heyal,

I have a 99 mercury cougar that suddenly won't start. All power is there just not connecting. Someone said it might be the iginition coil does this sound right? Do you have any suggestions?

he said it wasn't sparking from one thing? to another thing? sorry i know nothing when it comes to cars but really need the help please respond.

Coil pack, it sounds like was mentioned. Spark has to do with coil packs, but plug wires and spark plugs could also be the cause of a problem.

im havinge the same problem i beleive it is my coil or ignition control modulator thats the plug that connects to the coil

Keep in mind that the alternators are FAMOUS for going out on Cougar years 99-02. A PITA to change out too.
