Anyone thought about converting over to an IRS? I was talking to Tom L at Panoz, and apparently some guy over the pond converted his over. using the 99 cobra IRS. May be a fun project for next winter, just need to find a cheap IRS donor.

Seems like a cool idea but are the arms not a little puny? They don't look robust to me - not that I know what they should look like. Also, would you really want to give up the opportunity to replace leaky axle seals?

apparently the guy is from germany and converted his GTS car to an IRS and runs it in the 24 hrs. of Nurburgring, Silverstone & Spa
they do look a little small to me, if I were to do the conversion i would make the whole subframe and A arms beefier.

Eh... IRS is overrated... a properly setup live axle can be just as competitive. I've driven alot of sportscars over the past few years and some of the best are the Griggs racing Mustangs my buddy's shop Performance Autosport (www.performanceautosport.com (http://www.performanceautosport.com)) puts out.
