'00 Regal LS IP Cluster Question

There is a service offered on Ebay to repair IP Clusters that are dim, etc. I have searched this site for the DIY soldering process, but couldn't find the directions.

Is my car still driveable if I were to ship the cluster for a few days for repair? Kind of a dumb question lol. But IF POSSIBLE, can somebody find the post that gives directions on how to fix the cluster myself?! That would help even more!! Thanks
