supercharger oil

Does anyone know how to change the oil in a supercharger on a 94 ultra??
I believe it's an m-62 eaton and the only way i can see to change the oil is to either pull it through the oil level port or remove it completely!!
My oil level is a little low and i could just top it up but the oil smells bad and i would rather change it.
I've looked at the eaton website and while they show very good diagrams of the unit i don't see a drain hole port at all.
I think i'll just top it up for now.

Welcome to AF! Some people use an empty spray bottle & stick the suction wick in through the fill port and pull the trigger to pump the oil into the empty container. Several years ago, I found a 5-buck suction gun at Harbor Freight that will suck it dry with 2-pulls. Last year I used my brake bleeder vacuum pump and it is the best combination yet! Be sure to drive the car and have the fluid warm (circulated) before removing it; otherwise the contaminants will settle on the bottom and remain there. (Not a good mix for the new oil)! BTW, use only GM supercharger oil part # 12345982!

I topped it up for now but thanks to your ideas i'm going to flush and fill it a couple of times with the brake bleeder tool until it doesn't smell like a dead skunk anymore!!

I did my research on this one as well - But to all of you supercharged buick owners, a little tip on saving money on the oil -

I called Redline - you can use their synthetic power steering fluid - basically the same thing, except its 8 dollars a quart!
You can use conventional power steering fluid as well, but remember it will break down faster, so you may have to change it every 5000-10000 miles instead of 30000.

:sorry: but when someone says “basically the same thing,” that leaves a lot to my imagination. Did Red Line provide you with any product data sheets on both products; MSDS, or technical data supporting long-term testing in the Eaton M62, M90, or M112? Do you personally have any long-term test results using Red Line PS fluid in an Eaton supercharger? Sorry, but a phone call with Red Line saying that their product is the same thing, does not convince me. :shakehead
