Hey everyone I have a 2001-gt 3.4 w/75,000 miles and I`m getting ready to do a tune-up. Been looking to upgrade my parts and was wondering what the best plugs and wire set would be for my ride. Currently I`m looking at NGK ptr4b-15/5146 plugs with either an MSD 32559 wire set or A/C Delco 72644. Hoping for some feedback and if these plugs & wire sets are any good?? Plus please share if you know better parts I should be looking at.

Thanks

The plugs can wait to be changed,go up to 100,000 miles and change them before 100,000 miles.I have heard AC Delco wires are not cheap, over a hundred dolars.Change the fuel filter too and this is the most neglected to be changed since it is under the car.A plugged up fuel filter can take out the fuel pump if it is not changed.

He's right, fuel filter while you're at it... its around $10 or so... plus better fuel eco!

for plugs... I went with AC Delco Iridium plugs... I dont have the part number but I saw a noticeable difference with these plugs.

Wires = Taylor Spiro Pro 8mm wires OR MSD 8.5 super conductor wires... both can be found here at pfyc.com (http://www.pfyc.com/c/GAUNDER/Under+the+Hood.html)

Along with that, you could also purchase the GM-2 tower style coils - Located Here (http://www.msdignition.com/product.aspx?id=5059).

The coils add a slight punch of power and smooth out the RPMS of the motor very well.

If I could redo this, I'd still go with the AC Delco iridium plugs and the MSD coils... but I'd grab the MSD wires as well... much better quality I hear than the taylor wire set.

You may be able to find the MSD stuff at a local autozone (order parts from a book)

My father has seen this, replace the fuel filter since it was never changed on a customer's car and the fuel pump goes out 2 or 3 days later and the next week.

:iagree:
Fuel filters should be changed very 10-20k miles .

Taylor wires are realy great, just as good as the MSD, and AC Iridiums rock! :D :2cents:
