Hey all,
Are eithrer/both AIM or Windows Messenger/MSN available using just a web browser? The reason I ask is because if they are, I can use uni computers as well as at home for both programs.

AIM has an AOL Anywhere thing where you can go to the site and click it and it has a primitive version of the AIM log on screen. As for MSN, I think it only works off the browser for chatrooms. I think for MSN you have to have it Downloaded on the computer or you cant use it.

That's not quite what he was getting at. He meant which of the 2 can function in a "web-based" format so that he doesn't need to download anything, so I understand.
AIM Express (http://www.aim.com/get_aim/express/aim_expr.adp?aolperm=h) is web-based. It's what I always used in school computer labs where you aren't allowed to download anything.

Used to have AIM Express for work, but our firewall blocks it out :( So I have to communicate during the work day via message boards/private messaging. AIM/AOL at home :(
