not the squeeking from the breaks but whenever i break when i come to a complete stop and the front end lifts whether its a slow or hard break, i get a loud LOUD somewhat "crackling" noise. I'm assuming its from the suspension. Personally being a student and this being my uncles beater car i don't plan on fixing it if its an expensive cost. It just really annoys me when something is wrong with a car and i dont know what it is lol.
Any ideas?

As bnaylor suggested, it would help to know what year, engine and how many miles are on the car.
Since the front end lifts under braking (opposite of normal), I would suspect bad motor mounts or subframe mounts.

sorry, its a 2001 century, 3.1l
and i didnt mean the front end lifts Up when breaking. The front end is normal when braking(downward) but at the hault of the stop, As in the exact point the car comes to a COMPLETE stop it "screeches."

If your car has rear drum brakes, you probably have dust built up in the drums. This is a very common issue on all GM cars that use that particular brake set-up.
