1/12 caterham JPE

Finally finished after 2 and a half years. The 1/12 caterham JPE. Most of the time was needed to strip that ugly, ugly yellow paintjob and repaint it in different colours. I moved twice during the build and the model has his scars because of that (I lost one of the rear-view mirrors)but overal I'm pretty pleased with the result. The paint is a combination of tamiya spraycans for the orange, duplicolour spraycans for the wheel fenders, revell enamel for the nose cone and tamiya acrylic for the hood (not on the pictures because it isn't polished yet).
It just needs to be cleaned and waxed and it's ready.

Nice build, you should paint the filter (breather) middle a different color than silver. Sweet build!!

Looks terrific. I love this car (I absolutely recommend taking one for a test drive!!). Hafta build me one of these someday- soon as Tamiya rereleases the BDR version- with cycle fenders! :grinyes:

I know you want it...come on ... I can really recomend it, just don't make it in black and orange ;-)

Well to be honest, I will never make anything as big and complicated again. It just takes to much time and money, I could have made 8 1/24models for the same money and time and my caterham doesn't look 8 times as nice as my other models. But on the other hand, I really have something you don't see that often. What am I saying.. I love it...
