99 Yukon Passlock System

Need help bypassing this system.

Security light does stay on when the problem occures. Tried leving to key in the on position for 10-15 mins. for security light to flash but never does. After leaveing it off over night I try another start the security light goes out and I get a start. Runs like nothing was ever wrong till the next time I try. Security light will not go out and no start. All I've talked to say to replace the ignition switch because of a faulty PassLock in the switch. Dealer cost is 203.00 and discount auto parts is 111.00. Theres got to some means of by-passing this system without complete steering colum dissasembly?
