I have a lincoln town car which is a 91 4.6 the only way the car will start is if i put the key in the ingtion turn it on and open the hood and go against the solonied on the passanger fender and i guess you call jumping it off. I replace the solonied and still thats the only way the car start. could it possible be the starter or something like that i will really like to fix the problem this weekend so any help will be nice.

Probably the ignition switch in the column. Don't know if it is as easy as a GM from the same vintage, that just requires a plug and rod disconnect on the column under the dash- check out the autozone site to see if they have a description of the column switch. It isn't the starter, if you can jump it at the solenoid. Might be the trigger wire at the solenoid or the starter. Check out the wiring at the starter and solenoid.

There are two solenoids on the 91 model. One on the fender and one on the starter, check the one on the starter.
