Korean Cars....

I love Japanese cars and Euro cars. I hate domestics. But I think Korean cars are the worst pos cars. Even my Korean friends hate Korean cars. I can understand if you just need a car to drive but if you like cars even a little bit and you buy a Korean car you got major problems. Of course no offense to Koreans just the Korean cars. Lolz

I took the ĻriskĻ of buying one some years ago and still got no problems, ok maybe quality isnīt as goos has in the Civic or my own Focus, but handling, performance and fun to drive are just fine and even great. Never got a problem with it and donīt think I will. You should know better about what you talk about.

If you can remember back to the early Hondas, they weren't much more than a glorified soup can on wheels. After a few years, the quality became better, and the reputation exploded.
KIA, with their new entries like the Sedona, are making the same strides. Here's a van that not only has one of the largest engines in the class, but it has a 5-Star crash test rating. Look, maybe it's time for people to look at the present, rather than live in the past.
:smoker2:
Consider that you can save thousands over the competition, and it's pretty much a small risk. I bought one and have run it into the ground with no complaints... from me or the car.

Actually youīre right, Iīm surprise with those safety ratings for the Kia minivan, thatīs good, Iīve heard good things about the Magentis also. Now those Kias (exepting the Rio) look more solid and reliable than before, way to go.. . :D

Korean car manufacturers are working hard to get better and better. I think that part of it is national pride. I don't think that they will be satisfied with being at the bottom of the heap in the US. (There are a lot of worse cars than Korean cars elsewhere). There is competition between Korea and Japan. Korea was invaded and ruled multiple times by the Japanese. I think that Korea wants respect.
Korea (Hyundai) has already taken over the ship building business.

Yes, hyundai is a very big company, and they actually produce rather high quality cars... but they're still full of cheap materials.
The Magentis is based off of the Hyundai Sonata, which is quite a good car.

Actually, Daewoo is still in operation. They never stopped making cars and GM now owns over 40% of the company (GM Daewoo Automotive and Technology) that owns the Daewoo brand and makes some of the cars.
As a matter of fact, Daewoo cars will return to the US shortly under the Suzuki and Chevrolet brands. I don't have the names of the two Suzuki models, but the Chevrolet will probably be named Aveo and will be offered as a four-door sedan and four-door hatchback.

Kia = Killed in action
Daewoo = Die woo!!!
Hyundai = Hyung Died!!!
LoL, jk, nah I have good Korean friends no offense intended ^_^ And actually I guess these cars improved over the years but I dunno.. The KIA is still a toy car in my opinion.. the Dawoo what ever happend to that name.. I haven't seen one in Canada anyways.. and well Hyundai the tiburon is very interesting and I've heard good things.. I will wait and be more patients though, the hyundai cars are moving in the right direction i think though so that's very good. Would be amazing if there was a car better then the Civic SiR (Si in US? B16A engine? right.) but less like .. 10,000 new lol that would make me an eternal fan i guess maybe :p

But no seriously that last post was retarded unless it's a 'joke' :/ The korean cars are getting better don't bash..
I really dislike the KIA though.... I would not aproach it with a hundred kilometer pole :X

If you are a KIA owner already and haven't made it to www.streetkiaz.com I want to encourage you to do that. You will find it helpful for all the discussions of upgrades and questions that you might have.
If you don't have a KIA, but are thinking about what if there is a thriving community for KIA owners where I can get questions answered and see what trick modz people are coming up with for their inexpensive but fun Korean cars, check out www.streetkiaz.com
For the haters, have some photos there of KIAs that look like they should be part of the Fast and the Furious movie series.

Being in F&F or 2f2f is not a good thing! That supra in the first was amazing. That muscle car too. The rx7 dunno much about it. The old skyline dunno much about it. the s2000.. ok.. the eclipse crap but made to look like a tuned GST.. was in fact FWD non-turbo with fake integra turbo sounds o_O. The 2f2f.. the eclipse was worse then the stock for some reason? weird.. the 3g eclipse is CRAP no matter what you throw at it.. Man did you see how that car was almost flipping in those hard turns? That lancer was probably not evo heck i dont remember anymore.. stuff like that.. :X And stickers, 'audio systems' (music with fart sounds is not music to me)... hmm :X
Anywho hehe, there are cool things about f&f and 2f2f. I found the first story very interesting. Most ppl bashed it but.. the drag race was gay sure.. so so fake but... well in the beginning of the movie i mean. The later drag races in race wars were uhm.. nothing special. The truck and hondas were a joke.. In the 2f2f.. the first 'race part' was BULLSHIT.. oh man sick.. SICK SICK SICK DIIIEE lol.... and those poor fake cars lol.. the only interesting bit .. note 'interesting' was the two way two car race for both cars' slips. The highway scene was 'interesting' and all.. I dunno.. ok lol im going off topic...
Tiburons have a bright future that's all I have to say... KIAs.. hmm i don't know..

I love it when people treat Hollywood FICTION as if it were a documentary. Please forgive me but I have not offered any of my hard-earned money for either of these kiddie flicks (noting that they were both aimed at teenage boys), but I'm sure very little in either movie reflects the real world.
The "muscle car" in the first film was all special effects...as are ALL of the cars in both movies. "...did you see how that car was almost flipping in those hard turns?" If the car hugged the road, you claim it couldn't handle that well...regardless if it could or not. If it was "almost flipping," I'm sure it was PLANNED that way...just to give you the image that they were going really fast.
It's not a documentary...it's all FAKE. Stop treating it like anything more than a piece of fantasy.
Are you people the same ones who had a problem with the Coyote getting hit on the head with an anvil week after week in the Road Runner cartoons?
