Replacing Pickup Coil...

any proper way to replace the pickup coil on a 93 Burb? i removed the dist/rotor but im stuck there. looks like there is a metal shield/cover over the pick up coil. How do you remove it? does the whole distributor have to be removed? please help. thanks john

Yes you need to pull the dist. Then you need to drive the drift pin out of the dist gear with a punch and then remove the shaft.
