Putting Bumpers on before or after...

primmering + painting?

For me it depends on if i want the bumper the color of the car or if in some cases its chomed, then i attach them later. So i guess it just depends on what color you want the bumper to be.

the front bumper has to be painted in the lower area black and the main part white.the backbumper is as far as i know simply body color

I put them on first to make sure they fit properly to avoid having to sand it and paint over it again.

:) Most of the time it's safer to put em on first.
A benefit from doing this, is that you don't heve to use glue, when already painted, and the colour has been painted in the exact same circonstances then the rest of the body, which means it's all the exact same tint.

Most definately add the bumpers and sides before any painting with this kit, for two main reasons. The first has already been mentioned regarding even paint coverage, the second is that you dont want to risk getting glue on your newly painted model when you attach the parts.

Also, a build up of paint could spoil the fitment if they weren't attached already and you would have to remove paint from the area requiring gluing, which is a chore.

I go against the grain here and say I didn't - for me, they pose too much of a thread to fall off during polishing, and could take a bit of paint off from the main body in case this happens, resulting in a slight respray under best circumstances. That's just me, though. Depends on how well you glue them on first, I guess..

I always do mine first to make sure they all line up correctly.
Its alot easier to attach them then trying to paint them seperate. Most times you would have to leave them on the sprue's to paint and will end up with no paint on the side when cutting it away after painting.

attach then prime and paint. Or you may run in to trouble like I did doing my R34's the bumper just wouldn't stick:(
