My problem is that Bush Sr. didn't finish the problem when he started it. We shouldn't have ever gotten into other nations' business in the first place. Jr. is fighting to give daddy his good name back. Well, good luck buddy, b/c you are making his gene pool look DAMN shallow. What Clinton did with Lewinsky is no-one elses business but his own- it's his personal life- not his professional life COMPLETELY different things. Bushes invasion of Iraq is not a war- it is a mass-slaughter

This anti american thread bothers me. For all of the US ppl you had the power of the vote.

For all others.. like it or not we us citizens will support our leader. I have to believe that they know a lot more about the situation than the average person would. At least our leader is not going about this in a cowardly way, he is telling sadam exactly what will happen if he does not cooperate. We are not sending suicide bombers to kill 1000's of innocent ppl to express our belief's as american citizens.

After all this is about ridding the world of weapons of mass destruction. How would you like it if a rather small nuclear bomb went off in your neighboorhood.

Here are the stats. (This is what the US is trying to Prevent from happening!!)

Ground Zero
Within 1/100th of a second, a fireball would form in every direction from ground zero enveloping downtown and reaching out for two miles. Temperatures would rise to 20 million degrees Fahrenheit, and everything -- buildings, trees, cars, and people - would he vaporized.

2 to 4 Miles from Ground Zero
The blast would produce pressures of 25 pounds per square inch and winds in excess of 650 miles per hour. These titanic forces would rip buildings apart and level everything, including reinforced concrete and steel structures. Even deep underground bomb shelters would be crushed.

4 to 10 Miles from Ground Zero
The heat would vaporize automobile sheet metal. Glass would melt. At this distance, the blast wave would create pressures of 7 to 10 pounds per square inch and winds of 200 miles per hour. Masonry and wood frames would be leveled.

16 Miles from Ground Zero
The heat would ignite all easily flammable materials -houses, paper, cloth, leaves, gasoline, heating fuel - starting hundreds of thousands of fires. Fanned by blast winds still in excess of 100 miles per hour, these fires would merge into a giant firestorm more than 30 miles across and covering 800 square miles. Beyond 16 Miles

While I do find it half-way decent that Bush gave the option of surrender- I just generally disapprove of the way he is going about all this. I like the next person want Saddam gone- but provoking a war will not help matters at all- Saddam is a VERY smart man- he knows his life is at stake- he has already had plastic surgeons create exact replicas of him- and although they have his DNA on file it will give saddam a chance to flee while they do DNA matchups. Whereas if we sit on the fence and let Saddam do whatever he does until he kicks the bucket- we would generally be better off- as Saddam- unlike the Al Qaeda is not a psychopath- he doesn't want to destroy the US and is certainly no threat to the national security.

John- Nuclear weapons are not something to be worried abour- it is well known that Saddam does not have any warheads- and his nuclear research facilities were destroyed by Israel in 1991.

Osama's actions were NOT unprovoked! You don't see Osama attacking Germany or France or the rest of the world. There are a lot of things that the US did since WWII that drove the world nuts... wayyyyy too many things. I wonder why now (former) USSR, Germany, France, China, Cuba, and pretty much all Arabic Countries hate the US now! Coincidence, I think not!

Bush could have at least waited for UN's approval for starters....

UN weapons inspectors the whole time they were in Iraq from the end of the Gulf war to when they were kicked out never found any warheads- and no more were found when they were let back in- Saddam has nothing to hide. The Research center still sits as a burnt out shell.

Are you sure? There have been several significant arrests of terrorists cells linked to Osama Bin Laden's Al-Qaeda network in both Germany and France. During many of these arrests detailed plans of terrorist attacks and bomb-making utilities were found. So, no Germany and France were not attacked by Al-Qeada yet, but it sure as hell looked like they were going to if these arrests were not made. Terrorism is a global threat. The US is not alone in this. Now I see what your saying about how the US has done some pretty f*cked up sh*t to piss a whole lot of nations off during the past few decades, but I think a lot of the anti-Americanism within the world today also stems from the fact that the US is the world's strongest superpower and there bound to be some jealousy there. In short, I don't know how I feel about America. I lived here my whole life and I must admit that I don't have the experience of having an outside perspective on what America is like. To those who are not America, could your share your views of what America is like? Do you guys (or gals) all hate us like Crab said?
