air/fuel

hey could some one tell me where they have there air/fuel gauge hooked up to ? my gauge is just a simple autometter one and its the purple wire on it i need to hook up.its a wire near the computer right? i seached the forum and the internet and got nuthing,

Most narrow band Air/Fuel gauges hook up to a 12v, ground, 12v acc and tap into the O2 sensor. A narrow band won't tell you a whole lot.

Just run the o2 wire out to the 02 sensor and tap into it there.

To make it so you don't have to run the wire into the engine compartment, look at a wiring diagram, and tap the wire somewhere close to the ECU... that way you can run the gauge's wires under the dash, and never have to see a loose wire in the engine compartment.. keeps it cleaner.

Yea, that is an option too, but seeing how he couldn't search for a wiring diagram for it, I just told him the other obvious solution.

OP - From now on, RTFM before posting... if you got the gauge, it came with instructions... if it didn't use some common sense, and the search feature...

And for anyone who reads this thread, DON'T JUST SEARCH AF! USE GOOGLE OR SOMETHING, YOU CAN FIND INFO EVERYWHERE ON THE 'NET!
