so yesterday on my way i noticed that my 4wd selector switch was goin bezerks by itself, this while i was driving. i stopped parked it and shifted the switch two da 2hi. what would cause this to happen?

The dash switches for problematic on these trucks, sounds like the issue here.

is there something that can be done to fix this? cuz to what i read in manual its not a good thing if its shifted while im driving, the last thing i need is for the trans to go out.

Have it checked out and most likely like I said the dash selector is bad.

mine did that once. I noticed something was up when I turned on dry pavement and it was jerking. looked down and noticed the lights going nuts. stopped and cycled the selector through the settings and put it back on 1hi and it was fine
