98' Jimmy v6 vortec 4x4

Didn't really know where to post this but here goes. Is there a away to disable my headlights at night. I know i can set my e-brake and disable them but that keeps me from moving. example: At a boat landing early morning launching my boat and others in line i need to turn my lights off in order not to blind them.
I need some help on this. Any solutions?:banghead::banghead:

With the truck in park, press the dome override button 4 times (in,out,in,out) and you will hear a chime. That disables the AHL and DRL. Repeat that procedure to re-enable those functions.

on my 01 Bravada I have to press it 6 times before the chime. Keep pressing it until it dings. It still works for me when I'm in gear rolling though. It should also work with the whole Parking brake thing. I usually turn them off every time I drive anyhow because I need to shut them off when I'm going through the sevurity gate at work. Ensure parking brake is set, start engine, press and de-press interior dome light quickly, until you hear a single ding from the dash. It's the same ding you hear when you start the engine, so wait until that series of dings stop. Post back results please. Good luck.

My '98 only works with the e-brake down enough to turn on the brake light and only if I set it before starting the truck. If it is already running and its dark then the lights are on to stay.

I do have a DRL mod so my DRL's either don't work or my Jimmy does not have them. My green dash light is not on for the DRL's at any time.
