1998 Montero Sport radio removal

Can anyone tel me how to remove the stereo out of my 1998 Sport. It has the seperate c/d player. Thanks

You have to remove the trim all around it first then it is very easy. To remove the trim you have to loosen the dash all around it, if I remeber right there are two separte panels of the dash, think one is below it that actually come off in the process. Just be careful with the trim, it's thin at the top and wedged in there tight, don't crack it when you remove it. I also took the glove box out to make it easier to run the wires and make sure they weren't pinched anywhere but not sure if you have to do that.
