Eibach Springs and suspension

Evening, I drive a 1995 Del Sol S DC Sports sway bars up front and down below, 17 inch rims with 205 40R17 tires.
Right now I have stock shocks, and cut eibach pro-kit springs. The ride isn't that great. It's very rough and has a spongy feeling.
I measured the distance of the tire to the edge of the fender. Up front the distance is just under an inch from the top of the tire to the edge of the fender. In back it's slightly over an inch.
I'd like to get a suspension upgrade. I was thinking KYB gas shocks, and Eibach sportline springs. Eibach sportline springs lower the vehicle 1.5 - 2.0 inches.
Now, knowing how my suspension is now and how low it sits, will this be a good upgrade? I'm worried the sportlines will lower the car even more which will result in rubbing, if not then I have nothing to lose.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!!

Kyb Gr-2's are said to be near stock replacements. that being said, a strut should'nt be compressed too much(unless its a performence strut). I think u would be fine w/ pro lines, but sport lines are risky, for both tires and struts. i think struts tend to blow when compressed too often, and too much. you could probably try Tokico HP's or Kyb Agx's to compensate for the drop, as these performance struts handle the drop better than stock peices...as for the tire rubbing part, i would ask someone who has a similar setup, and go from there. it also depends on how much $$$ you wanna throw down, they say u get what u pay for, and this holds true in the suspension dept.(w/ harsh rides and what not)

Thanks for that response. I don't think I'll go with sport lines. Instead, I'm going to go with neuspeed sport springs, kyb agx's for the front, and regular kyb gas for the back.
