97 sonoma lowered help!!

my truck is 2wd of course and it has new rims and tires. it has been lowered with blockes in the back in lowering springs in the front. When i drive the truck it feels like it bounces up and down i can not feel it much in the steering wheel. what is causing this problem, someone told me when you lower a truck the drive shaft gets shoved into the tranny causing this to happen. is this true and if so what can i do to fix it. its not bad but starting to drive me crazy. i have pics on sportruck.com its white n black two tone just look under gmc sonoma i think it is the only one. thanks for the help!!!:banghead: :banghead:

Check to make sure the wheels and tires are not out of round. Jack vehicle up, put safety stands under it, and turn the tires looking carefully weather or not they hop.When the back of the truck is in the air, tranny in neutral, also observe if the drive shaft spins freely and smoothly.These are simply some things you could check to diagnos the problem. Also if this happens only at higher speeds it could be a tire balance problem. were the new tires balanced when installed?

That is what happens when you chop up your springs and make it ride on almost solid blocks.
Good looks if you like the lower look but makes the ride like a log wagon.
Also throws the drive shaft out of line and messes up the steering.
Most are not even safe to operate on the road.

If you want it to ride and drive good pitch the lowering blocks and put it back to OEM suspension.

Or learn to live with riding around on solid blocks.
