 Help!!!!!
I am about to purchase a acura 2002 rsx. But i dont know if I should get there body kit that comes with it. I want to see some other body kits that are out there, but cant seem to find any. It might be that its brand new and people are still working on the body kits or I cant just find any. Can some direct to me to some sites which have some kits?
Any kind of response would be helpful.
Thanks,
krakerjak

Odds are, the price you'll pay for the Honda body trim is about double what you'll pay for similar aftermarket parts. So unless you really, really like the way their parts look, just save your money...
Just my 2¢. :D

But where can I get a body kit for the acura rsx 2002?
That is what I need to know?

Thanks Adam.
That body kit is hot, a lo better than the one coming with it.
I also looked at the Zonda, that is also a hot car.
But way out of my price range.
Does anybody know of anymore body kits or some performance parts would help also, basically anything you got on the new acura rsx 2002.
Peace out, and thanks again.

Will the aftermarket body kit void the warranty??
bumpaintballer
12-04-2001, 01:53 AM
y would it void the warranty, u don't buy body warranty, only engine and electronics, stuff like that, and u can always bolt ur stock body back on. ask the dealer, if u ask them they r usually cool w/ it. my acura dealer said they would be cool w/my getting intake and stuff like that on my new type S. as long as they did it. maybe its the same case w/the body kit.

Yea buddy, save your money......the car has been out for about 6 months and there are already 3 offical body kits, and i know for a fact at LEAST another 2 more are coming out in the spring.....unless you can get a really good deal on it (like free) dont bother, because odds are that you're going to see something else that you REALLY like.....get that.

Hey ive seen some really cool bodyktis that are coming out.. unfortunately i dont exactly kno how to put pictures on this site.. some of the companies that are coming out are:
HKS
5Zigen
C-WEST (my fav. body kit)
Mugen
and some others
if the bodkits arent out already they should be coming out soon.
www.aerotrends.com has the airforce bodykit and i think some others.. might want to check that site out..
if u want any of the pics from list of comps. i can email them to u or u can got to www.overboost.com adn then go to the event coverage and then to the SEMA event.. they have pics and info on some bodykits that companies showed for the RSX
so i would save my money if i was u

I really like the look of the RSX. I sat in one today at a dealership and was amazed at the leg room inside. That alone is a selling point for me.

When the new gen eclipse came out I went to a local dealer and was shocked by the cramped seating. Mustangs were a problem too.

I'm a former '81 RX-7 owner and never liked bang my head when getting in or out of the car. But, it was fun to drive. This is my dilema. I currently own an '90 Accord LX. It has quite a bit of modification to it. Just not enough power for my liking.
Dahmin8
01-06-2002, 11:14 PM
I'll probably check out the S2000 to see how roomy it is. I'm just concerned about bangin' my head and leg room.
I'll probably check out this forum again if I happen to buy the RSX Type S of course. :flash:
Well there were a lot more spoiler pics out there. But you guys are interested in Body kits. THE END.:sun:

I've been have'n the same problem finding body kits etc.. for the RSX.. I'm getting a Type-S in November unless the Type-R comes out this summer like I've read elsewhere.. but anyways.. here's what I've found as far as body kits for the RSX.
Well, first, Wings West has a body kit and has pics of it on their website http://www.wingswest.com They have 2 different versions of it.. with fender flares and without.. It's called the G5 Series... Available 2/2/02. They also make a knock off of the JDM RSX Type-R Spolier, which I think looks pretty tite... The main thing is Wings West is about the only place I've found that will paint the body kit for you before shipping. They charge $425 for this, but hey, at least you'll know it's done rite... anyways, heres some others.
Here's the real JDM Mugen body kit.. not sure when it's available but lots of pics of it.. http://www.kingmotorsports.com/king/projects/rsx/ The only thing with this one is it's pretty pricey from what I hear... Like $950 for just the front bumper. OUCH!
Ok, next one I found is here: http://www.importfan.com/subcatmfgprod.asp?0=360&1=375&2=1153
Actually this page has 2 body kits.. the first one is the AirForce 1 body kit which is pretty tite and resonable priced but the other is really nice buy WAY overpriced.. check it out...
Ok, and lastly, Bomex says they're make'n a full body kit for the rsx available Jan/Feb 2002.. Still no pics up yet, but I hope it's cool.. you can check here to see if it's available yet...
http://www.bomexaero.com/newprod.htm
That's all I've found so far as far as body kits are concerned... so whatcha think.. I'm lean'n twards the Importfan AirForce1 body kit myself... Can't really decide yet..
Anyways, hope this helps!!

Ya, I like the wings west kit, I just wish they would have done a little more with the front bumper than just adding a lip... But hey, guess we can't have everything.. Unless the kit Bomex comes out with is a show-stopper... Oh, and I don't expect the RSX Type-R (if it actually makes it here) will be that much more expensive.. The ITR was only about $3k more than the GSR.. so there shouldn't be too much of a difference with the RSX I'd think... Anyways, cross'n my fingers for the bomex kit... peace... :D

Well, here's where I read that the rsx type-r will be coming to the US..
http://www.streettuners.com/2002_models/type_r_2002_pg1.htm
It's actually a review of the 2002 Civic Type-R but it mentions that we should expect to see the Civic and the RSX Type-R in the summer of 2002. But who know.. they may be full of crap and they don't actually know either.. Take it as you will.. Well, actually, here's a quote directly from the article:
"Expect to see the 2002 Civic Type R
come to America sometime in the summer
of next year (2002).
We can eagerly await the coming of the new Supercars from the Honda / Acura stable. When both the Acura RSX Type R and the 2002 Civic Type R
come to American showrooms to be onset upon by Tuner Enthusiasts."
And here's a link to a ton of pictures of the RSX Type-R if yer interested.. or obsessed like me.. :silly2:

altezza's are available through APC.. http://www.4apc.net or through someone else that sells APC Products. Ummm.. As far as Turbos.. there are a few "Demo RSX's" out there (HKS for example) that have turbos but they're not going to be released for sale for several months.. they're still not fully tested for reliability and all that bs.. so in the mean time, we can just drool over all the hype...
