I have a ground that is not where it is suppose to be where exactly is the ground on the Thermostat? Pictures would be great. Or if that is the Ground for the Temp gauge in the car. I believe i have a ground problem just not sure what ground it is the engine or the cluster in the car by the hood pop.

No pictures necessary. Look at the thermostat housing, there will be two bolts holding it on. On the bolt on the topside there should be some ground wires, if not, there is your problem.

I have heard that there is another place that it goes on the thermostat not on the mounting bolts

Its possible, but its just above the mounting bolt. All of them I have seen was on the housing, not hard to find.

Really, its a ground just as long as its coming in contact with metal that some how contacts the chassis, your fine.

Some engines used a ground tab that was relocated by the bolt on the thermo housing... others just used the bolt from the thermo housing. That ground wire can actually be placed anywhere in that area, including the starter, if you could make the wire fit around the bolt. It just needs to be on the engine's block, somewhere in that area.

Make sure, wherever you ground it, that you clean that area down to bare metal, clean the contact area of the wire terminal, and add dielectric grease to both surfaces. (Personal preference.)

This will ensure that you have the most effective contact possible.
