Do you swallow or spit?

Hehe...nasty minds, I'm talking about gum. I've been swallowing ever since I was a wee one & never had a problem.

I spit that stuff out. It takes too much effort to swallow gum for sum reason.

I guess because when I was young I had this plastic trashcan in my room that didn't have trash bag in it. Well after getting ants in there because I'd spit it in the trash & it'd stick to the sides, I started swallowing to avoid the problem(plus I was too lazy to just wrap it up in a tissue or something:rolleyes: )& I never grew out of it.

It depends on where I'm at and what it is that I'm doing. I got caught a few times with gum in school, so I'd swallow the "evidence". ;) But if I'm driving or something, it goes out the window.

Besides, it's easier to just suck on a mint. No trace remains when it's done. ;)

But, I used to save my gum in a freezer bag (in the freezer of course) and come back and chew it later. You'd see a bag full of different sized clumps and flavors of gum sitting in the freezer. This drove my parents nuts. Didn't really bring the flavor back (I think I listened to too many people saying that putting batteries in a freezer gives them energy) lol But it was cool to chew cold, hard frozen gum and combine it with other flavors and make one big bubble.

When I was younger I would swallow it, but now I spit since it is bad to swallow it. I reallydon't chew gum that much though. I like mints.

I'm not allowed to chew gum anymore b/c of TMJ, but I always liked chewing Extra Spearmint or Winterfresh. Now I just suck on the Peppermint Breath Savers.
