won't start

Bad starter and bad battery replaced them both, made sure the connections were tight and correct when I turn the key there is a clicking sound and no start. I don't even get a starter winding noise does anybody know what this could be

Security lite on? Are you sure your ground cable and psoitive cables are not internally corroded?

When you installed the new starter, did it have a new solenoid attached? Have you tried to jump the purple wire going to the solenoid with battery positive, to see if the starter will engage?
