Easy question for anybody who knows electronics!

I recently installed the Audiovox Movies2Go DVD headrests in my 2004 Buick Rainier. The system is set up so that you can either plug it into a 12 volt outlet (i.e. cigarette lighter) or wire it directly into the fuse panel. Since the fuse panel is conveniently located under the rear seat, I thought I would wire it direct. Can somebody tell me exactly what I need to do with the red wire and the black wire once I have the wires fished back to the fuse panel. I want the DVD system to have power as soon as I turn the key on!
Thanks

The black wire will go to ground. The red wire will go to an accessories fuse that is only on with the key on or engine running. Things like the accessories outlets (cigarette lighter) or the radio will be on this type of circuit. Sometimes you can find a spare space in the fuse block that will do exactly what you need, power with the key on. Insert a fuse with a tapper on the not touching the power source from the vehicle and your set! If you tap into an existing fuse make sure you are tapping into the side that is not powered up with the fuse out or make sure you fuse the wire going to the dvd player.

YOu can tap into one of the seat functions, power seat, heated etc. I ran my screens right to the fuse box lots of wire but it works perfect, my trailblazer is almost identical to the rainier. Whatever you do, DO NOT tap into the aux power (cig lighter) wires. In GM vehicles they do not turn off, so your screens will have power even when the truck is off. Its alot easier to tap into one of the seat functions, rear air, or even right to the fuse box (rain sensor fuse is a good one to use).
