Ok heres the deal, I'll give some background info

About 4 months ago I got an oil change and drove 2100 miles across the country. Everything was fine didn't need to stop once due to vehicle problems. Its now about 3500 miles since that oil change.

About a month ago while driving and having it shifted in Drive, 3rd gear started to just rev up to about 4-5k before it would kick in.. then acouple weeks ago 3rd wouldn't work anymore.

So I have been driving around with it shifted into 2nd gear and that was working ok for me. Acouple days ago though I was driving and it just shifted completely out of gear. I had to park, turn it off and wait a few seconds.. It would go into 2nd to get moving then slip out. Last night I had to move my truck and drive worked just going about 300 feet.

Sorry for the big story but there it is. Matt

What is mileage and transmission service history?
Have you checked transmission fluid and level and filter?
Any check engine lights on?
Best to get it on a transmission/engine capable scanner and check out all data and check for codes.
post back any code.
