Good Lord! Look at the number of engines, etc., in the background! That's a bunch of kits! :eek2:

Yeah why do you have a yunk yard back there? where do many parts come from?

I see you're a very busy person with that lot of engines in the background. Ive got two questions for you if you don't mind. How many builds are you tackling at the same time? and what materials do you use for molding? That looks a bit like soap:eek7:.
Excellent work by the way:wink: I cant wait to see the finished product.

Buen trabajo amigo:wink:

Saludos

Hard to see from this distance but you seem to have done a great job. Are there multiple decal pieces or just one for each cowl?

your models are looking good. the decals of the assen version are hard seeing they are one piece for the entire side panel.

In the background of the assen version i see you have cowlings for the '08 Yamaha M1. Where did you get them from or did you make them your self?.
I am looking for such cowlings as there are great new decals coming out, but no resin cowlings to match them.

MFH (model factory hiro) makes some great adhesive, suede-like material. I'd highly recommend it. It comes in a variety of colors.

Something else you can try which works really well is embossing powder. Get some, airbrush a base color on the seat, then apply the embossing powder, tap off the extra, let it dry, and then airbrush on a top coat to seal it. I cant post pics now but it looks good.

Where you get it? At a hobby shop?

i got mine at a hobby shop in MN. you might try michaels, jonanns, as I do not remember seeing it in the hobbytown usa. also, you might try hobby oasis on beach and san pablo. not sure if it is there or not.

You can also use something called "microballoons". Spray the paint, dust with these, shake, and then spray again after drying. Instant "texture". You can also use it for a "cast" appearance of metal. It's particularly useful for the RC211v's engine block.

hello guys,

I have a question, a have bought the abarth and camel decals from renaissance for the tamaya yamaha kit, but wich kit i could use best for it?
I dont want te make any body modifications.
I was thinking about the tamiya 14104, 14105, 14114, 14115 or 14116 but i can never find any information wich one is the right one.

Thanks for the advice!

Bas

If you prefer not to make mods, then I think the tamiya 2005 is the closest one (14114, 14115 or 14116)...they all have the same cowlings and frames.

Beautiful collection!
I also collect Rossi's bike, all I have from 2000 to 2010 (not yet finished only in 2007, 208-2010 in progress).

I see that you used the whirl Transkit M1 2006 - IRTA Test on models 2006 and other test bikes. How does it work? I made a master for casting, so I'm interested in.
