hello everyone. I recently bought a 1998 dakota 2wd with the v6. Everything is great except for a rack and pinion leak and a clunking noise heard every once in a while from under the truck. It kinda seems like a spring or maybe a sway bar hitting. I was wondering if there are common issues with dakotas making this type of noise. It a pretty loud clunk but is kinda hard for me to pinpoint, it seems to be coming from the center of the truck. Also seems to happen after turning then straightening the wheel out at low speeds. Thanks

these trucks are known for premature ball joint failure, also could be a worn coil sping insulator if 2wd, 4wd has torsion bars.
