99 pontiac gtp with heat issues

:banghead: my 99 gtp is blowing out hot air (when therm.is on high) on the passenger side and blowing out cold air on the drivers side...any suggestions?:banghead:

It would help to post which climate control system you have. The automatic digital dual zone (ACC) or a manual dual zone?

I have the automatic digital dual zone.......

It sounds like you may have an issue with the driver's side temperature actuator which controls the blend doors in the HVAC assembly behind the dash. Do you have a service icon displayed the climate control panel? We have a diagnostics procedure you can run on the CJ2 ACC which may help diagnose the issue.

The other thing you can try is disconnecting the battery negative cable with ignition to OFF and then reconnect, ignition to ON and maybe the actuator will re-initialize itself.

so is there a way i can manually open or close this door so i can stop freezing my ass off in the morning?....or another suggestion?...is this an expensive thing to have fixed?

Instead of letting it automatically control temp, can you just set it to 90 degrees and the adjust the fan speed and mode to where you want it?

yea i tried that...i still get cold air on the drivers side...:shakehead gonna have to take it in looks like

99 gtp. would low coolant cause no heat?

yes, defenatly.

If coolant is so low the heater core isnt filled, you wont get heat.

You need to find the leak, check the coolant elbows that pass coolant from the LIM to the belt tensioner into the heater core.
