Hello everyone

I am replacing the motor in a 97 blazer but I have a quick question. I have it in and the tranny bolted up but now I can not turn the motor to get back to TDC. Before the tranny was tightened up, had 1/2 inch gap it would spin with a wrench on the crank in front. but with the tranny tight it won't.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

you got somthing wrong when installing tranny. have you taken starter back off and see if it's turning over without being in car? your starter mite be cocked in the moter.

Or the you did not pry up the torque converter up flush to the flexplate. There is a risk if did not do this, break the pump in the transmission.

Update: I loosened the tranny bolts, tranny moved back 1/16 in and I was able to turn the motor to TDC. I tightened back up and then I was still able to turn motor, so I think I am OK now.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks
