1995 Blazer front end passenger side knocking

Ive had this problem for about a month now. When i turn hard left my front passenger side starts knocking. Ive read all the other posts and cant seem to find the correct fix. One of my buddies told me to put it in 4hi then take it out. I do that and the knocking goes away only for about a miles worth of driving, then it comes back. Anyone know the problem?

Does it do it in 2W and 4W both or just 4W?
Just sharp turn or going down the road?
Have you checked the front axel joints?

It does it in just 2wd. And only when i turn sharp left. I havent checked the axle joints = but i will get on that.
