Code 14?

Did the paper clip trick, and counted the check engine light blinks and determined its a code 14 (oxygen sensor and throttle position sensor) should i just replace both? also whats involved in doing the throttle pos sensor??? the past few weeks the check engine light has been comming on when im stopped then will go back out after about 2 minutes.

Yup i'd replace both. Having the same exact car as you i'm willing to bet your TPS does need to be replaced. Mine did. I think you mentioned that your car idles wierd a while back and the TPS should do i think. I had mine replaced and now idles just fine.

yeah i think ill just replace both, i know you had yours done recently, i just wanna know whats involved in replacing the TPS and how hard it is.

thats why i asked Mike im showing code 14 as temp.circuit to high
if you can whats the vin # are we talking about the 88 or the 83

My 83, i just replaced the o2 sensor, no check engine lights yet, i also connected it to my work's code scanner and it came back that it was a code 13 instead, said something about an open or shorted circut in the o2 sensor (i ran the code scanner after i put in the new sensor) diddnt say anything about a tp sensor tho

Yeah mine didn't mention anything about the TPS in a code either. But when it was in the shop the guy said it needed to be replaced.
