How low is everybodys cars that are runing 17inch rims i would like to go 17's but the car is tuckin 15's now i bought the car this low and i like it but i want to put a bigger rim under it. I think? Its is lowered now with 3.5 eibach spings with 195-50-15 tires and it rides fair. the way it is so what does everybody think.

when i had my 17s and my coilovers were lowered all the way (3-3.5") they would barely rub around corners so i rolled the fenders and they never rubbed again. Now im riding on 91 CRX Si 14" wheels and its lowered all the way down, lower than with the 17s. I like the lower look/feel. I probably will never buy big wheels again unless i can get a really cheap deal.

Only reason I say 16's instead of 15's is because 16's you can get in 8 inch width... I dont know of any 15"X8's...

what offset is every body usingwhen they put the 16 &17" rims under the car the 15" rub now but i do not know what the off set is, i have all kinds of room on the inside of the fendersif the offset was differant.

dude...I have 16's on my hatch right now. I have my skunk2's just about all of the way down. I can go an Inch more. They don't tuck but they match the wheel wells. I only have 2 to 2.5 inches of ground clearence. I say get some 16 inchers and call it good.:D

When you rolled your fenders, did you do it with the plastic inner liner on? Did the liner bend out of the way too?

Wow I had no idea Eibach springs could go that low. Anyhow I am very happy with my 16s they give a big wheel feel without being so big as to be an anoyance. You may want to raise the car an 1in or so if you don't the fenders rolled to avoid the rim. Or something along those lines. Hope this helps.

:)

i have the front fenders rolled the back ones don't seam to wannna roll in very well the eibachs that are on it are 3 or 3.5 that is going bye the previous owner but when the springs were first intalled the mud flaps set on the ground now the only rub sometimes the are wore to about the middle of the honda logo on them I will take them off when i paint the car but for now they look better then the bright red paint thats under them. I really like the look of the 16" what size tire 205-40-16, if i run this size under it the speedo will still work like it did from the factor because its the same height as stock tires.

Definitly do 17's, they look the best - May have to raise it up a little, but I'm on air cylinders and I'm sitting about 1/2 inch above the rim and I am still fine - can't steer very well, but it looks sick.

I say you go 16's cause tires are cheaper and you have a larger profile, so if you hit a pothole or something you wont bend the rim as easy as you would with a 17.

I could go 17 if i had air:flash:

Well just how good is air suspension, do you have air rods or air struts? any sort of portion valve to make them work together when the car is leaning in truns and stuff. how well does the car handle in turns and at hiway speeds, and at say 120mph that about as fast as i fush the car. I really speed and show and would love air but am afaid that i woul no tlike it after i got it on there, nobdy in my area has air on a car yet so that i can see for my self how they drive so let me know.

thanks chris

Someone farther back asked about offset - 45mm is the best offset for 4g Civics.
And I personally like the earlier idea of 15" Si/GSR/LS rims too ;)

There are also some GSR 6's which look pretty good with the center cap off which I cant find a picture of at the moment.
