How much do 1g heads go for?

Just wondering about how much a 1g head goes for. Thinking about putting a 1g DOHC head on the 7 bolt 4g64. Then whenever i build my 6 bolt, swap it over.

I wouldn't pay more than $200 bucks for a good clean ready to go head. The last one I bought was $120 shipped from a member here on AF. Expect to pay $20-$30 for shipping.

I have one that came off a blown motor. A couple of the valves are shot so obviously needs some work. Are you interested? Also cams are missing and not sure what else it will need but it is a 1G head.

Eh, just depends on how much you want for it ned. I was wanting a good complete head, that just needed to be resurfaced and threw on.

I don't care how much I get for it but it's not ready to go so you probably don't want it. How much can I get for this head in the condition it is in?

Eh, So it has bent valves Im guessing? The valve seats arent damaged or anything right? So basically i need some cams and some valves? I need alot of other stuff too, I dont know what other parts you have laying around.

I don't have too many parts lying around really but what do you need? How much is the head worth if I just scrap it? The head is aluminum right?

If the head can be repaired in anyway I would deffinatly keep it. I'm on my third head build and second head. If you decide to build a head you have the perfect base because you will be tearing out all the internals anway. If it is fixable it is worth more than scrap. Although, yes the head is aluminum but, I think you would get some lower grade if all of the non-aluminum metal is not stripped off of it before you take it in.

At the scrap yard its worth what? $15 bucks max

VG - unless the head has really low miles on it you should plan on installing new valves and having the seats regrinded. You could also do some porting while your in there.
