Will a 1996 ciera 3100 bolt into a 1995 Achieve?
Will a 1996 ciera transmission bolt into a 1995 Grand Prix?
Any expert info on the 3100 V6 would be great.

Externally, the transmissions are the same between the Ciera and the Grand Prix, but the Achieva most likely used the 4t40e, not the 4t60e in the other cars. One note, there are different final drive ratios in the 4t60e transmissions which could cause issues with speedometer calibration and such. A transmission ID tag or a run of the VIN # would tell you if the two cars have the same final drive ratio.
