95 buick skylark headlights dont work

Hi
all my running lights work but head lights wont come on unless you pull the dimmer arm back and hold it, turn signals, flashers turn all work.
any info would be greatly appreciated.

When you pull it back is it turning on the high beams?

I assume you already checked the bulbs and checked to see if there is power to them?

Problem was in the headlight switch.
went to salvage yard and got one i thought would work.
parts house wanted 135.00 dollars and had to order it.
it turned into a couple hour job but i took old one off tore it apart.
the other one i got at salvage wouldnt work a little different so used parts from the salvaged part to rebuild old one and it works fine.
