I was digging through my piles of old and not-very-well-done models, and I came apon the pickup. it is in sad shape, So I've decided to restore it. The only bits I'm missing is a steering wheel, and a few minor chassis parts.
btw, this kit was manufactured in 1993 (My birth year), and probibly put together by me around 2000-2003. I can't remember where I got this, only that it was painted gold (I still have the bottle), and that I was proud of it at the time. I have a few questions though, how do I remove glue? I used Testors glue in a tube. and how do I remove decals that won't come off with water(I didn't clear coat it when it was built).
A few parts I couldn't remove, as the parts were starting to break, The engine can't be removed from the frame for that reason, as can't the front suspention.
I still have a few engine parts on the origonal Tree (painted that Turquiose colour in some pics), as well as a cut up and painted on box, and the instructions with major paint marks on it :/
Sorry for the Essay, here are some pictures.

Last thing, any idea on what colour to paint it?
btw, is this kit rare?, I haven't seen a thread here or on the interweb (:D) anywhere.

I would suggest trying some Castrol Super clean or Easy off oven cleaner. Put everything but the clear parts in and let them soak overnight. The chemicals will pull all the paint off, and at least losen the glue. You might even be able to pop the engine apart after a good soaking. From there you can redo the entire model.
good luck!
good luck!
