Help!

My radiator overflow cap keeps popping out and blowing antifreeze across the engine. It's making my car go in to the red on temperature within minutes of driving and causes smoke. I haven't noticed any leaks and I am getting ready to take it in soon. Any ideas?

does white smoke come out the tail pipe? you may have a blown headgasket
