CPI or TBI

How do i know if my truck has a CPI or TBI 4.3 vortec. ITs a 2000 sonoma highrider.

its either CPI or some sort of another EFI system, i belive they discontinued the use of TBI in 1997 i'm not completely sure of the date on that but i know that all cars and trucks made past a certain year in the late 1990's are either CPI or MPFI (multi-port fuel injection) i think there might ba a few SEFI engines runing around also
the sad part is TBI is a much more reliable system than CPI

If the engine is stock then its Central Sequential Fuel Injection (CSFI). There is also an upgraded injection spider that is MPFI.

Last year for the TBI was 1995 and replaced with the vortec 4.3.Some 1994 and 1995s were the early vortec 4.3s and 1995 is by itself.Yours has the 1996 and up vortec and you can tell by the 8th vin,a W of the 8th vin
