Windshield Wipers

Alright, I have posted about this before but I have still yet to fix it. Well, I realized that my wipers must have a short or something of the sort somewhere. They work if I lift the hood, and move the wires around ( i guess from the motor). They work for a little bit and then they sometimes stop working while I am driving. I can hear the wipers trying to work, but they do not move unless I move the wires around. Any suggestions on what I would need to buy in order to get this fixed?

If you can hear them trying to work, but they aren't moving, I'm willing to bet it's the wiper motor. Can get them aftermarket for around $50

Most likely this is what you need: http://www.partsamerica.com/productdetail.aspx?MfrCode=DOR&MfrPartNumber=88136&PartType=2040&PTSet=A The solder joints on the printed circuit board break and cause the motor to operate intermittently. Available at most auto parts stores for under $30.

OK, so I just buy that wiper pulse board and then it should be fairly simple to install?

One electrical connector, and maybe 3 screws...done!

And some goop (RTV) to keep it water tight.

Could you link me to these materials, like to show exactly what I will need?

A small bead around the edges of the circuit board will help seal the board from moisture. http://www.partsamerica.com/productdetail.aspx?MfrCode=PTX&MfrPartNumber=80022&CategoryCode=2132

The module is unplug wiring to it and remove cover and pull out old module and stick new one in and plug in wiring plug and go.

After you get it installed.
That should do the job.
Good Luck
And let us know how it goes.
