I have a real question as to the front rotors getting warped in the first 2500 miles of use and then having them turned and yet another warp issue. Does anyone have the same problem?
Drop me a line at onemoremovie4u@yahoo.com
The rotors are new with the new car.

Is this a brand new car with brand new rotors with 2500 miles on them?

Or did you replace the rotors and they warped in 2500 miles?

If its the latter than a couple of things to consider is the quality of the rotor. We found through experience that the quality of the rotor can make a huge difference in its longevity.

Where the wheels tightened to spec in the proper pattern. This can have a huge impact on whether or not a rotor will warp. Especial with front wheel drive "knock off" rotors. It is really important to torque these.

If the rotors where purchased they should have at least a 12month/12k warranty. If they are warped you can make them true but the warp will always be there.

Make sure you check the hub area around the lug nuts for any debris/chunks of rust. If this surface is not smooth than the rotor will not have a chance right off the bat.

Just a couple of things to consider. I went through this with my Saturn. Its my beater and It gets what it needs as cheaply as possible. I was burned on cheap rotors. I turned them before I put them on, got about 3k and they where warped, turned them again and they warped again in about 3k. Had them warrantied and have gone over 7k with no problems.

Using cheap pads and driving in the rain will warp a rotor. I never had a problem until they stopped using asbestos my brake costs trippled at this time.

Maybe not so much driving in the rain (otherwise every car on the road would have warped rotors after a rain storm and we both know that doesn't happen), but I could see driving through substantial standing water or a deep enough mud puddle/pot hole.

I bought a garage years ago and they used cheap pads. I had some come back in a week after driving in the rain. I switched to a quality pad and the problem stopped. I think it was the pad material plus the rain.
After this I always purchased quality pads for both customers and personal vehicles.

I haven't had that problem, but I have noticed my brakes don't feel as strong as they did. My car is just shy of 22,000 miles too!
