Sorry I'm a little slow with the post beings how this happened about a month ago. Anyway, the story goes that the widely known shop of Extreme Motorsports located in Odenton, MD and owned by Sean Glazer was vandalazied and set fire to. This happened about a month ago. I was unable to find a picture or a good article but a little search on google will bring up lots of info on the subject.
It is sad to hear that someone would stupe to this kinda of level however, I feel their pain. Some of you OG members may remember one of my numerous horror posts about how I had a hell of a time with them. Their customer service is the worst I have ever recieved from any single company I've ever dealt with. I had invested over $7,000 with them and half of that I paid upfront. Basically, they dodged every email and phone call for 3 months. I even stopped in in person a couple times to see the progress on my car. I was told I was not allowed to see my car because it would break their insurance policy if I went in the garage part. I know there were a few complaints to the better business buero and one of the times i stopped in there was another guy in there with a lawyer telling Sean that he would see him in court. I got my car back by telling him he had untill the end of the week to give me my car or else I would be there with a flatbed and a lawyer.
Anyway, there is alot of controversy surounding the whole situation of course. From what I hear the fire was started in one of the cars inside the shop and then motor oil was spread all over the floor to try and spread the fire. There are some people who claim this was an inside job for insurance money or some jazz like that. I read something about all the gas caps from all the cars being removed a day or two in advance of the fire.
Seeings how this is DSM news I figured late is better than never. If anyone knows anything else about the situation I would be interested in hearing about it.

Thats always a shame to hear something like that. Like you said though it may have been an inside job. Good thing your car was not still in that shop. I feel bad for everyone whos car did get burned in that shop. I would be pretty pissed if I was paying someone to work on my car and come to find out the whole thing got burned up.

Wow... Sucks for them as a business... But, I remember all the problems you had with them. If they treated all their customers like that then it comes as no surprise to me. They probably pissed off the wrong person that day. Sucks to be them...

I guess that means I'm not going to get the $264 they've owed me for the past 10 months.

Haha, no I don't think you will be seeing that money any time soon. Infact one of the other forums I was reading mentioned a guy with a red EVO. As I understand it, they owed him money or work to his car and he never saw it. He took them to court and sued them. He won about $30K. There were more than a "few" people who got legal with them. So who knows how many people who had a bad expierence but, didn't get publicly loud about it. I'm sure there were a good bit of people who took the shot and cut their losses like I did.
