SHO struts on an LX?

Does anyone have any previous recollection of using aftermarket SHO struts on an LX? I have a GENIII and I see that there is a price difference, but was wondering if they technically connected properly to the SLO frame. Thanks.

I'm not sure if all Gen 3 Taurii SHO had the Semi-Active Ride Control (SARC) electronic suspension or not. If they did, I'm not sure what the ride would be like without the SARC system connected. The service manual would imply the normal setting is the soft setting, so you might not get any benefit from SHO struts without the rest of the SARC hardware. -Rod

From what I read 99's didnt have SARC. But they didnt have regular struts either. The ones I am seeing on line are non adjustable KYB's and Monroes

I'm not aware of any differences in the suspension geometry between the SHO and non-SHO. There were differences to the front end, the trunk lid was different, wheels were different, seats were different, and the SHO had 4-wheel disc brakes, but I believe the bulk of the suspension was the same. The anti-sway bars may have been larger, and the SHO had the electronic power steering (ZF). The SHO had aluminum front knuckles too, but that may have been the same as the non-SHO (or SLO as the SHO community called them).

But, I'm not going to pretend to be an expert on the differences between the SHO and SLO. For better detail you may want to visit this site (http://www.v8sho.com/).
