just swap out teh whole speeddometer and odometer. take off the clear plastic on the front..there should be four clips holding it on. then on the back of the cluster there are four screws behind the speedometer, take those off and the speedometer/odometer will come out. repeat on other cluster. installation is the reverse of removal.

all you have to do is take a q-tip, and roll them back manually, just be careful.

use a drill in the speedo cable port... it'll take a long ass time to correct the mileage this way though.

Rolling back the speedo is not illegal if under two rules 1. you change the motor HAS to be a new or fresh rebuild. 2. You can not sell the car stating ORIGNAL mileage or actual mileage. Also when selling the car the box on the pink slip must be checked for not actual mileage. So yes rolling back the speedo is legal if the motor is swapped for like new motor or it is stated that it is not actual mileage. Also if the car is sold with the wrong mileage and the buyer is unaware of this at the time of purchase, then later (up to a year) finds out it is off by up to 1000 miles or more, the seller can be prosicuted fine of up to $10,000 and 2 years in jail. Also the seller has to repay the buyer plus given intrest rate. NO LIE lol at least this is what california states. Have gone thru this on a motor cycle I bought got all my money back plus got to keep the bike.
Also rolling back the speedo for a gauge swap is perfectly legal if you only roll it back to what your other speedo had. To make it perfectly legal you must have a california highway patrol officer sign off on the gauge swap fourms. Fourms found at DMV

lol i did the same thing almost with mine hehe, but i used a screw driver 2 take it apart so i could put it back together hehe :D
if u have a very small flat head screwdriver u can use that to turn each number individually.
or put ur car on jackstands, put in in reverse and wait for it to get to the right mileage hehe

just be careful about where you put the screw driver. so it is not noticable
