emergancy please help

i have a 1996 monte carlo with a 3.1 v6 . ti started acting up by when i put my car in reverse it sounded like a piece of paper was caught in the fan then it would not go in reverse but if i put my gear shift between drive and nutrel it would go in reverse now it wont go in drive or reverse no matter where my gear shift is and my brakes are locking up.

This is a rather vague description, maybe an axle broke and is jammed up, or the trans is locked up. Check your linkage also to the trans, very tough to tell based on not being there to check this.
